“Undesirables” hanging about the streets of Folkestone

viaductFollowing on from our recent bee piece, you may have noticed, as you walk around town, that there are a lot of spiders hanging about the streets of Folkestone at the moment. Early Autumn seems to be peak time to see these arachnid silk-spinning engineers, in all their glory, and apparently, there are more spiders and crane flies than usual, this year, due to ideal breeding conditions last year.

I took the following footage on a single stroll round Folkestone on Tuesday.

The following video is not for arachnophobes perhaps, although it could provide some un-regulated aversion therapy! We say,’enjoy the wildlife!’

  • judith plows: hello we went to folkestone two weeks ago and saw the bell and have searched for details about it as no one local seemed to know anything about it.
  • Barry Pullen: I too have been to this restaurant and although the fish and chips were excellent, I felt that they should be served on plates for dining in guests. S
